Arch

Our arch positioner family represents a significant breakthrough in position accuracy. The highly engineered structure, combined with high precision servo system, provide extreme accuracy in radial and elevation measurements. Our arch positioners can easily achieve 0.002° RMS of position accuracy in elevation and 0.05 mm (0.002 in.) RMS in radial position accuracy. The standard scan radii range from 1.2m (3.9 ft) to 10.0m (32.8 ft). Standard add-on options, such as motorized radial and cross range slides, can be added to improve position accuracy.

Arch positioners are offered as standalone products or as part of a complete system that includes a position controller, instrumentation, and a measurement workstation.

Factory Installed Options

RF Path Option
  • RF Path
    Adds a single or dual channel RF path inside the positioner. The factory installed kit contains internal RF cabling.Limit Switch Options
Electrical Path Option
  • RRU (Electrical Path for Upper-Axes)
    Adds an electrical path inside the positioner to support upper-axes. The factory installed kit includes internal wiring harness(s).
  • RRT (Electrical Path for Thru-Contacts)
    Adds an electrical path inside the positioner for dedicated thru-contacts. The factory installed kit includes an internal wiring harness(s).
Roll Axis

Adds manual or motorized roll axis to provide payload or probe polarization.

Radial Axis

Adds a precision manual or motorized radial linear slide to provide radial adjustment of probe or payload. Motorized radial axis can be added as a part of the enhance accuracy option to increase radial accuracy of the arch.

Cross-range axis

Adds precision motorized cross-range linear slide to enhance cross-range or axial accuracy of the scan circle.

Enhanced accuracy option

Adds position error characterization and enhancement to increase accuracy of the arch.
