RF Scene Generators™ RF Scene Generators™

What is a RF Scene Generator™?

NSI-MI designs and manufactures specialized RF Scene Generators™ to create user-controlled simulations of complex real-world RF environments. These precision simulators test the performance of sophisticated electronics and sensor systems. The RF Scene Generator™ uses spatially moving RF signals to provide a series of controlled events or scenes to a device under test (DUT). The DUT includes an RF sensor whose response will be measured and recorded. We specialize in the areas of aerospace and defense enabling simulation of multiple emitters in motion including decoys, threat systems, communication systems, aircraft, and more.

Advantages:

Reaction for corrective services guaranteed within 48 hours
5G massive MIMO communication
Automotive radar
Array calibration
Target detection and tracking
Weapons fire control
EW countermeasures
Traffic control
Mechanical Scene Generator™

Mechanical RF Scene Generators™

In the simplest of RF target simulators, target motion is created and presented to the DUT by electromechanically moving one or more emitters, representing targets along a spherical surface with the DUT at the focal point of the sphere.

Compact Scene Generator™

Compact RF Scene Generators™

A portable anechoic compact range creates very high dynamic target motion by mechanically moving the compact range reflector, thereby changing the angle of arrival of the plane wave presented to the DUT over a limited Field-of-View.

Real-Time Scene Generator™

Real-Time RF Scene Generators™

An array of emitters capable of virtually unlimited velocities and accelerations of multiple targets with no occlusion and no moving parts. It can move a target from one end of the FOV to the other in one update frame and back again in another.
