Far-Field Systems

Far-field testing can be accomplished in either outdoor or indoor configurations. In an outdoor far-field range, the test antenna is installed on the test positioner located on a tower, roof or platform outside the instrumentation control room. Indoor systems are available as direct illumination far-field implementations, or compact range solutions, where a precision-machined reflector helps to simulate far-field conditions over a greatly reduced range length.
