RAL Space EMC and Antenna Test Facility

NSI-MI finalized installation of the RAL Space EMC and Antenna Test Facility.
The shielded anechoic chamber is 18 m x 18 m x 14 m high and is lined with pyramid foam tiles that absorb radiation. RAL Space assess the performance of antennas used for communications between the satellite and ground stations, and probes measure radio frequencies from 500 MHz to 75 GHz in different configurations. There is a second shielded room next to the chamber for customer electrical ground support equipment.
