Recently the authors presented a series of papers on the recommended absorber treatment for gantry and multi-probe spherical near field (SNF) systems. In addition to that, a recent paper looks at the minimum required absorber coverage for roll over azimuth antenna under test (AUT) positioners. In that work it was mentioned that the scattered energy from the uncovered regions of the AUT positioner can be handled with proper absorber treatment of the range or anechoic room. In this paper the Authors provide guidance and recommendations for the treatment of the different surfaces of a SNF system having a roll over azimuth positioner. A higher order basis function method of moments (HOBF-MoM) approach is used to analyze the scattered fields and probe illumination in the range as the positioner rotates.
