Vince Rodriguez appointed Adjunct Research Professor within the School of Electrical Engineering at The University of Mississippi
NSI-MI Technologies is pleased to announce Dr. Vince Rodriguez has been appointed as an Adjunct Research Professor within the School of Electrical Engineering at The University of Mississippi.
Dr. Rodriguez received his BSEE in 1994 from The University of Mississippi and continued his graduate studies at Ole Miss obtaining both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Engineering Science (Electromagnetics Emphasis). He began his professional career as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M-Kingsville. From 2000 to 2014, Vince was employed with ETS-Lindgren working as a Senior Principal Antenna Engineer and Product Manager. Vince joined the NSI-MI Technologies Family in 2014 where he currently works as a Staff Engineer.
For more than 20 years, Dr. Rodriguez has significantly contributed to research in the fields of antenna design and anechoic chamber design. Vince holds two patents; one for EMC/RF absorber and another for a broad band horn antenna. He has published over 50 technical papers and articles sharing his relevant theories and innovative products including introducing the Open Boundary Quad-Ridged Horn Antenna. This antenna geometry became a preferred type for broadband antennas used in antenna measurements.
Vince is actively involved in the antenna test and measurement community where he has served on both the Board of AMTA and IEEE-EMC Societies, is a Senior Member of IEEE and an Edmond S. Gillespie Fellow of AMTA. He currently serves as a Technical Reviewer and Session Chair for AMTA, chairs workshops for the IEEE EMC Symposia, and is a reviewer for the ACES Journal and the Journal of EM Waves and Applications. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Engineering at the University of Mississippi and is currently serving as Secretary of the Working Groups for the updating both IEEE Standards 149 (Antenna Measurements) and 1128 (RF Absorber Measurements).
It comes to us as no surprise that Vince has this new accolade to add to his most impressive resume. Congrats Vince!
