Scott McBride, Significant Contributor

Scott McBride, Senior Staff Engineer for NSI-MI, received an award from the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) for his significant contributions in producing a revised standard, DO-213A, Minimal Operational Performance Standards for Nose-Mounted Radomes. RTCA is a non-profit organization that brings together business, technical, operational and regulatory experts from across the aviation industry to establish standards of performance in U.S. and global aviation. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) relies on standards developed by RTCA, such as DO-213A, as the basis for government certification of equipment used by the tens of thousands of aircraft flying daily through the world’s airspace. Scott has extensive expertise in radome measurements. His guidance, analysis, and written contributions were respected and appreciated by his peers on the working committee.
