Michael W. (Mike) Murphy

Michael W. Murphy is Vice President of Sales for NSI-MI. Reporting to the Company President, Mike is responsible for providing the overall leadership and management of the Company's worldwide sales efforts. He was appointed to his current position in 2016 following the merger of MI Technologies and NSI. Prior to the merger he was Vice President of Sales for MI Technologies since 2005. He had also previously served MI as Vice President and Business Manager of the Commercial and Communications business area. Mike joined MI in 1999 as Director, Customer Support.
Mike’s management career includes over twenty years of service with The Boeing Company and Rockwell International. His most recent position with Boeing was Phantom Works Site Director and Programs Manager, Advanced Systems at the Military Aircraft and Missiles site in Duluth, Georgia. He also served on the Boeing company-wide Phantom Works Strategic Management Council. Prior to Boeing’s 1996 acquisition of the Space and Defense businesses of Rockwell International, Mike was Business Development Director for Rockwell’s Tactical Missiles business. During this time he also served on the Rockwell company-wide Strategy Council for High Speed Flight Technology. His service at the Tactical Missiles business unit also included tenure as Program Manager and Operations Project Manager.
Over his career, Mike has been active in a number of industry and professional organizations, including the National Management Association, the Air Force Association, the Army Aviation Association, the Precision Strike Association, the Navy League, and the Antenna Measurement and Techniques Association.
Mike holds a Master of Business Administration Degree in Business and Operations management from the Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Management from the University of Notre Dame.
